Our client, a Rehabilitation Specialist based in Hospitals Brisbane Northside is seeking an off-site (WFH) Administration Assistant 15 hours per week to commence 5th January 2026. It is preferred for the incumbent to reside in North Brisbane for the occasional on-site meeting (every 3 months) with this employer and also to direct patients to the right location.
This role will commence as casual and move into a part-time position at a later date. The role will be:
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday 10am to 3pm
(ie 15 hours per week)
Commencement: around 05/01/2026
Location: Virtual with occasional face to face meeting over coffee (eg every 2-3 months)
Rate: $35–$38 per hour + Super
We are seeking an enthusiastic and tech-savvy Medical Administration Officer to join our specialist practice. This role offers the flexibility of working from home while supporting a specialist based in Everton Park, Brisbane.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage appointment scheduling, diaries, and bookings
• Handle emails and electronic correspondence
• Maintain accurate, paperless patient records
• Liaise with hospitals, pathology, and imaging providers
• Assist with general administrative duties
• Support the specialist with day-to-day practice management tasks
Skills and Experience
• One year experience in a specialist medical practice is preferred but not essential
• Minimum 6 months medical administration experience required, with specialist practice experience highly preferred
• Experience using Xestro is preferred
• Strong computer literacy, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Teams, Zoom, Outlook)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• High level of professionalism and customer service
• Current National Police Check (or willingness to obtain)
• Australian work rights (citizen, permanent resident, or valid work visa)
• Basic knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare procedures

• Excellent attention to detail and time management
• Comfortable working independently and managing competing priorities
